How to play
The first square you open is never a mine.
Right-click a square to flag it, or press and hold it. On a phone you can also turn Flag on, then tap.
Use the numbers. If a square says 1 and a neighbor is flagged, the other neighbors are safe.
Rules
- The board is 9×9 with 10 mines.
- A number tells you how many mines touch that square. An empty square opens its neighbors.
- Opening a mine ends the round. Clear every other square to win.
Common questions
What does the number mean?
It is the count of mines in the eight squares around that cell, including diagonals.
Can the first click lose?
No. Mines are placed after the first open square, and that square is left empty.
Is there a timer?
No. The line above the board counts safe squares still closed.
